WCRAPM 2027 Educational Videos
Rules & Guidelines

Educational videos are among the most effective tools for training in regional anesthesia, pain medicine or POCUS. Videos are widely used both for self-improvement and as CME resources.

  1.      Submission Phases

Please note the two separate submission periods:

2.      Early Bird Fee Guarantee

Since acceptance notifications for the Regular Phase come after the Early Bird deadline, we will honor the Early Bird registration fee for the presenting author, provided the submission was entered during the Regular Phase.

Important: this benefit is specifically available for the author traveling to present the work, regardless of who submitted it online first.

3.     Competition Rules

  • The videos must have been produced within the twelve months preceding the 7th WCRAPM.

  • Videos should be no longer than 10 minutes, ideally around 6 minutes (maximum 500 MB).

  • Videos can cover any topic related to regional anesthesia and pain medicine. Topics might include techniques, safety, and patient information management.

  • The narration and explanations within the videos must be presented in English.

  • The scientific and educational quality of the videos must meet a scholarly/professional standard appropriate for an international academic audience.

4.     Selection Process

  • Submitted videos will be reviewed and judged by a Jury chosen by the Scientific Committee.

  • Videos will be scored from 0 to 5 based on the following criteria:

    • 1. Content (know-how, skills, techniques illustrated)

    • 2. Storyboard (how the content is organized)

    • 3. Teaching quality (How the Message Is Delivered)

    • 4. Video quality (image and sound)

  • A maximum of 20 points can be awarded for a video.

  • Six finalists will be chosen by the jury before the congress and notified by the Scientific Committee.

  • Authors of the six selected videos are expected to attend and present their video abstracts during a dedicated session at the 7th WCRAPM.

  • The jury and all attendees will vote for the top three videos from the six finalists.

  • All attendees may cast 1 vote. The average will determine the final ranking.

5.     Prizes

The Best Videos will be announced during Congress Award Ceremony. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive their prize after the Congress.

  • First place: 750USD

  • Second place: 500 USD

  • Third place: 250USD

​6.     Abstract Submitter’s Declaration

Before submitting the video, the submitter will be required to confirm the following:

1. I, the Video Submitter, confirm that I have reviewed this material and that all information is accurate. I understand that the content of this video cannot be changed or corrected after final submission, and I acknowledge that it will be published exactly as submitted.

 

2. Submission of the video constitutes my consent to publish it (e.g., congress website, programs, journal, other promotions, etc.).

 

3. I, the Video Submitter, affirm that I am the sole owner or have the rights to all the information and content (“Content”) submitted to WCRAPM 2027 and the Scientific Committee (“The Organizers”). The publication of the video does not violate any third-party rights, including but not limited to intellectual property rights.

4. I, the Video Submitter, grant the Organizers a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the Content.

5. The Organizers reserve the right to remove any videos that does not comply with the above from any publication.

6. I hereby confirm that the contact details saved in this system belong to the corresponding author, who will be notified about the abstract's status. The corresponding author is responsible for informing the other authors about the video’s progress.

*Note: Accepted abstracts will be published in a special journal issue, while videos will be showcased in a dedicated section of the LASRA Internacional website.
